Custom domains: extra sending domains and mailboxes
With custom domains, we buy a few extra domains for your company and set up mailboxes on them in your name, such as firstname.lastname@ the new domain. Your campaigns then send from these mailboxes instead of your own.
Why use them:
- Your main domain is protected. Cold emails don't go out from the domain you use every day, so your normal email is not affected.
- You can send more. Each mailbox sends its own daily share, so more mailboxes means more new emails a day.
Anyone who visits one of the new domains in a browser is sent on to your website.
How to get it
Contact your account manager or support@qualifier.ai. We set up everything, including the mailboxes and their DNS. You don't need to change anything in your own email or DNS.
How sending works
- A new mailbox warms up for two weeks before it sends its first campaign email.
- After that, each mailbox sends at most 4 new emails a day in its first week, then a few more each week, up to 10 a day from week 6. Follow-ups don't count towards this.
- Your campaigns share the new emails across your mailboxes, so the daily total is the sum of all of them. The campaign's Settings tab shows your current maximum.
- Follow-ups go out from the same mailbox as the first email, so the conversation stays together.
- By default your own mailbox stops sending campaign emails. If you want it to keep sending as well, ask us.
Where replies go
Replies to these mailboxes show up in Inbox in the sidebar, with a count of unread replies. Open a conversation to read it and click Reply to answer. Your answer is sent from the same mailbox the prospect wrote to. Click Archive to move a conversation out of the way.
What you don't need to do
We look after these mailboxes for you. You never need to log in to them or reconnect them, and you won't get "Your emails have been paused" emails for them. If something needs fixing, we take care of it.
